Akira is a Japanese-Afghan DJ and creative from North London, known for his dynamic presence in the UK underground.

As the founder of event collective and label Buntai, he’s been shaping a distinct sound and community since 2021. His sets move fluidly through dubstep, UK garage, electro and beyond, bringing raw energy and emotion to the dance. With takeovers at Fabric, Outlook Croatia and Boomtown Festival, Akira continues to push Buntai’s vision forward — uniting friends, artists and ravers under one sound.
